Question by : Can I file bankruptcy if my landlord garnished my wages?
My landlord is garnishing my husband wages, we are both filing chapter 7 bankruptcy but won’t sign until after the trail takes place and his wages are garnished.
Since it has already gone threw the courts, can we still file on that amount or will we have to deal with the garnishment? We cannot afford this as I am in nursing school (one year left) and we are barely scraping by as is. Will she also be able to contest this if we are able to file bankruptcy and if so, what does she have to do to contest the bankruptcy?

Please move in with family if you cannot afford to pay your rent.
